We make variety of snacks at home. There are different types of murukkus we make at home. Thenkuzhal is a type of murukku which my mother used to make. my mother used to make different savory like murukku, thenkuzhal and omapodi and store for the week. Thenkuzhal is crispy and tasty.

During Diwali Festival, our home is filled with sweets and snacks. My mother used to make different types of snacks at home and we used to have fun. Usually we make murukku, thattai, ribbon pakoda, etc. For a change I made murukku using ragi flour and it came out very well.

Thattai is a crispy snack made during Diwali in our home.  During Diwali my mother used to make lots of Murukkus, Thattais and sweets and stock for a month.  We used to distribute sweets and snacks to near and dear ones.  And we also give them to those who visit us also.

Ribbon Pakoda / Olai Pakoda

During Diwali festival, we make lots of bakshanams or snacks in our home. Yesterday, I made Ribbon pakoda and it came out very well. All of us in our house like ribbon pakoda. It is also easy to make.
