Ingredients
- Sweet Potatoes – 2 big or 3 medium
- Sugar – 5 or 6 tsps.
- Ghee – 1 tbsp.
- Cahsew Nuts – 7 or 8
- Raisins – 7 or 8
- Cardamom Powder – ¼ tsp.
Instructions
- Cook sweet potatoes in enough water in a pressure cooker.
- Remove from cooker and let it cool down.
- Peel the sweet potatoes and mash them well.
- In a pan, heat ghee and add cashew nuts and raisins and fry till cashew nuts turn golden brown in colour.
- Remove the cashew nuts and raisins and keep.
- In the same pan add mashed sweet potatoes and sugar and mix well.
- Cook till it comes to halwa consistency.
- Add cardamom powder, cashew nuts and raisins and mix well.
- Simple sweet potato halwa is ready.
