The summer is knocking our doors and it’s time to get ready for the long hot days under the burning sun. Perhaps we all try to take guard with all the skin protection lotions, long sleeve shirts and the sun shades. But, how many of us really consider what going on inside the body in this scorching heat and what we can do to keep it cool and refreshed?
Try these unique organic smoothies this summer and keep cool outside and as well inside. Smoothies are a great way to get all the vital nutrients like vitamins, proteins, antioxidants and others which otherwise would get replaced with all the bad stuff that we consume outside. Better you try these out at home for more freshness and advantages.
The Strawberry and Kiwi Smoothie
Well it’s all organic, kiwis are rich in vitamin C and potassium along with other essential nutrients, and strawberries are blessed with the goodness of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties along with vitamin C.
Take a few de-seeded strawberries along with a couple of kiwi, a slice of banana, a dash of organic honey and ice cubes. Blend them well in a blender and there you are ready to go.
Soy Milk and Prunes Smoothie
This unique one is high in antioxidants and fibers. Fibers keeps you full so that you stay satisfied and fuller whereas antioxidants have their own set of benefits on human health.
Take 5 to 7 nos. pitted prunes, one banana, some ice cubes and some soy milk and blend well for a smooth texture. Optionally to make it much healthier, you can add some organic honey and flaxseeds before blending.
The Banana and Kale Drink
A heart healthy snacks that good anytime to keep you full and satisfied. Low in calories, the goodness of vitamin C and beta-carotene, iron and omega-3 fatty acids, what all could you expect more from a drink.
Take some fresh kale, one banana peeled, some water, ice and some hempseeds (optional) and blend them well. If your kale if frozen, you can avoid the ice cubes. As an option, you can add oatmeal powder instead of hempseeds if you wish.
Fresh Orange Juice and Blueberry Smoothie
Blueberries have their own benefits as a cancer fighting and agent and is also known for its heart healthy properties. This drink in high in vitamin C and antioxidants that are of prime need during the hot summer months.
In a blender, take some orange juice, plain yoghurt, washed and clean de-seeded berries and some organic honey and blend well. Add some ice cubes to have it chilled.
Cherry Yogurt Mix
This mix is not only delicious, but is also low in calories and fats. It is just perfect for all of you who wants to keep a check on their weight in the summers and is a perfect for breakfasts and evening snacks alternative.
In a blender, take some cranberry juice, organically grown cherries and a cup of low-fat yogurt. To make it more delightful, you can add some fresh organic or frozen raspberries, blend it will and enjoy it chilled.
A smoothie is anytime much easier to blend and have as compared to anything else. It is also a great way to use up the fruits and yogurt in your refrigerator, while enjoying the goodness of it. Once, again fruit and other smoothies are always better, when made at home as you can control the ingredients and taste, and which also means that there are no additives or fats to make it attractively tasty.
