As Christmas is approaching, I thought of sharing some interesting recipes shared by Chef Gaurav Chadha, Dr. Oetker FunFoods, Creative Kitchen.
Rum Brownies
Servings: 4
Level: Beginner
Preparation Time: 10 Minutes
Baking Time: 25 Minutes
Ingredients:
250 g Dr. Oetker FunFoods Eggless Bake Mix Brownie
20 Butter (unsalted), melted
75 ml Water
25 ml Rum
50 g Cashewnut, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Line a rectangular 8inch square baking tray with greased baking paper.
- In a bowl add brownie mix, melted butter, water, rum and cashewnut. Whisk until the batter is smooth.
- Immediately pour batter in the baking tray & smoothen it.
- Bake for 25mins. or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
- Cut and serve warm.
Linzer Jam Tart
Servings: 4
Level: Advanced
Preparation Time: 30 Minutes
Baking Time: 30 Minutes
Ingredients:
250 g Dr. Oetker FunFoods Eggless Bake Mix 11 Cakes
60 g (4 tbsp) Butter (unsalted), melted
50 ml Water
150 g Mixed Fruit Jam
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Mix bake mix, melted butter & water. Knead until dough is smooth.
- Grease & flour a 7inch dia. round baking pan. Roll out half of the dough slightly bigger than the baking pan & stick overlapping part to the sides to prevent jam from overflowing.
- Spread jam on the rolled dough. Roll out rest of the dough & cut in 10-12 pieces & place it in a grid like pattern on top of the jam.
- Bake for 30mins. or until a toothpick inserted in the center, comes out clean.
Plum Cake
Servings: 4
Level: Intermediate
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Baking Time: 30 Minutes
Ingredients:
250 g Dr. Oetker FunFoods Eggless Bake Mix 11 Cakes
60 g (4 tbsp) Butter (unsalted), melted
150 ml Full Cream Milk
30 g (2 tbsp) Powder Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon Powder
30 g Almonds, chopped
100 g Prunes, chopped
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Mix bake mix, 50g melted butter, milk, 25g of sugar, cinnamon powder until batter is smooth. Mix almonds, prunes in to the batter. Stir briefly.
- Grease 7inch dia. baking pan with 10g butter & pour batter in.
- Bake for 30mins. or until a knife/toothpick inserted in the center, comes out clean.
- Turn the cake upside down while it is still warm. Leave it to cool.
- Sift powdered sugar with the help of a sieve on top. Serve cold.
