Today on women’s day I want to post an important recipe for postpartum days. A postpartum period or postnatal period is the period beginning immediately after the birth of a child and extending for about six weeks. Garlic Ghee rice is a simple and very good one for women who just delivered a child. This helps in lactation. This was given tome by my husband’s grandmother after my delivery.
Garlic Ghee Rice For Postpartum Period
- Cooked Rice - 1 cup
- Garlic pods - 4 to 5
- Ghee - 1 tbsp.
- Salt - as needed
- Peel and cut garlic into fine pieces.
- In a pan, heat the ghee and fry the garlic pieces till it becomes golden brown in colour.
- Now add the cooked rice, salt and mix well.
- This was given to me daily during postpartum days.
- It tastes awesome.
