It was a great Saturday evening with Zespri India launching its one of a kind #TheSecretFruitAffair in tandem with ITC Gardenia. We were first introduced with some mocktails and cocktails and asked to find the secret ingredient in all of the dishes. We got a tangy taste and watermelon taste. Then they unveiled the secret ingredient – the Zespri Sungold Kwifruit.
The evening, specially arranged for fruit lovers, saw innovative Kiwifruit dish preparations from each corner of the world such as the Kiwi Sasam ( A kiwi take on the goan dish with the same name), Kiwi Tortilla with a Japanese Twist, Kiwi and Tuna with Spaghetti (Italian) and Kiwi Tarts (European). Chef Yogen Dutta (Executive chef of ITC Gardenia), Chef Kamlesh Joshi, Chef Sasha Fernandes and Chef Arvind Prasad showcased the versatility of this new golden Kiwifruit!
